Hua Hin Hills Vineyard

Before the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard became a recognisable feature on this beautiful landscape, there stood an elephant corral. The wild Asian elephants that were once domesticated on the land are not as prevalent today, although they are still a feature; tours of the Hua Hin Vineyard are often conducted from atop elephants. The land surrounding the seaside resort town of Hua Hin is perfect for the cultivation of grapes and has been developed by the well known Siam Winery; the grapes from Hua Hin are the main ingredients of the famous Monsoon Valley Wines produced by the winery.

Thailand Wine Tours arrange visits to this beautiful area for visitors to Thailand and have tours packages to match all types of traveller; from those who want to enjoy a brief encounter with the vineyards to those seeking a more thorough immersion in the art of New Latitude wine producing processes. The grapes of the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, combined with the expertise of the Siam Winery have led to numerous awards at international wine competitions in Europe.

The tours of the Hua Hin Vineyard are all about the passion for the best grapes and the expert guides offer insightful views about how this is achieved. Much of the success of this vineyard is to do with geography as well as the skill of the growers; surrounded by magnificent mountains, this vast vineyard benefits from warm breezes and a wonderful climate.

Behind the growing techniques of the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard and the production methods of the Siam Winery, is a dedicated vision “to bring wine culture to Thailand”. The vineyard is an eye opener for those new to the idea of wine being produced in Thailand; the quality of the grapes grown at Hua Hin prove just what’s possible in Thailand’s tropical climate.

A highlight of the tour to the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is the tour of the vineyard itself, either on foot or to get a real bird’s eye view, whilst riding an elephant! Another delight of the tour is ‘The Sala’ – a Thai-inspired pavilion that was designed by former Norman Foster architect, Sylvia Soh. The Sala houses a bistro, wine bar, shop and function room.
